Election Campaign

Barisan Nasional (National Front or BN) is a major political coalition in Malaysia. Formed in 1973 as the successor of the Alliance (Parti Perikatan), it has ruled Malaysia uninterrupted (its term as the Alliance included) since independence.

Here comes the monster trucks. Oopppss... it's BN truck.

Make sure every sees you, everywhere they go.

p/s: I'm not a Barisan Nasional supporter!!! I wanted to take more pix of other parties, but my housing area is surrounded by what you have seen on the pix and I'm too ill to walk further to take more pix. So, until I have the chance, this is all I have.

Engine down

I was sick since last Tues. It was a viral fever. Got better on Thurs and Fri... then over the weekend another virus attacked me. So, now I have all the basic sickness that anyone could have, cough, sore throat, fever, flu and cold.

Anyhow, am getting better but had went into the office on first half of yesterday and today. But the AC in the office doesn't help at all, every morning I would wake up feeling refreshed to be ruined by the AC when I step into the office.

Anyhow, looking at my presciption, I wonder. Do all the doctor prescribe meds juz to cure any symptoms they see. Example, without knowing what's the underlying root cause of my viral fever, my doc juz gave me paracetamol (anti fever), ponstant (anti ache) and antibiotic (anti everything). Second time I go to her again since my cold is helping me to make chendol in yellow, green and red color (I know, disgusting..). She juz prescribed me with flu meds, fever meds (not paracetamol this time) and some vitamin C.

So, I'm really wondering, for all the money we paid to the doctors (general practitioner, GP) is it worthwhile? Probably I watch too much of House M.D. But I think to tackle things, of coz we have to tackle the root cause.

p/s: Btw, the office block blogspot again. Stupid bunch of IT admin. Boring..... *yawn*

Big Bully!

I was reading on some reports regarding Yahoo!'s potential takeover by Microsoft in BusinessWeek. See, this is what I found out.

The deal would eclipse Microsoft's largest acquisition—the August, 2007, purchase of online ad firm aQuantive—by sevenfold. And it would drain the $21.1 billion that Microsoft had in cash as of Dec. 31, since Microsoft plans to pay for half of the deal with cash and the remainder in stock. Microsoft generates more than $1 billion a month in free cash, so its coffers could be restored in short order.
For a company that can grow so rapidly by bullying other smaller company, I think we should try to reduce dependency on Microsoft's product. I know I know... at this era, who can live without using something that is produced by Microsoft. At home it's Ms Windows and at work you can't escape but to use Ms Office. So you will have no choice but install Ms Office on your Mac as well.

Probably other kinda stuff we should reduce... like... hmm... instead of using the Calculator in Windows, use a read calculator. Hehehe...

Manila

With a population of 1,581,082 and a land area of 38.55 km², Manila has the highest population density of any major city in the world with 41,014 people/km². Hence you can see people in the middle of the highway selling bottled mineral water and peanuts.

Jeepneys are a popular means of public transportation in the Philippines. They were originally made from US military jeeps left over from World War II and are well known for their flamboyant decoration and crowded seating. They have also become a symbol of Philippine culture.

I hate coming to work...

If my move is gonna be monitored every second that I step into the office, it's just a matter of time that I snap. I don't like to be intimidated, I don't like to be distrusted and hell I don't like to be treated like a kid. Fark!!!
