Weekend in Penang

Spent my weekend away in Penang. It was o... k... I went there for my cousin's (whom I've not met since highschool) wedding dinner. Went on Friday, spent the night in a pub with my sister and my cousin (her last bachelorette night) with a couple bottle of Heineken.

Saturday night, was a great one. Met up with 2 of my university coursemates/housemates. They are so hospitable. Brought me for really great local food, then proceed to a jazz bar with extremely cosy sofas and soothing music. The bar, "Bagan" is opened in a century-old bunglow furnished with a very comfortable ambience. And when the clock struck 12.00am, we proceed to one of the club in the area named "Glo". The place was good, R&B music... all tables filled with at least a bottle of Bombay Sapphire with lime juice and sodas. They even have an event of which a few ladies was invited onto the podium to compete who can dance in the most sexiest way. But the prize was just a small bottle of Bombay Sapphire (almost like a miniature). Hey, thanks Aun Lee and Phei See for your hospitality. :)

Then it was Sunday, the wedding banquet day!!! And Monday, I'm back to KL.

Here's something I would like to share of which I came across from one of my friend's bulletin board in friendster... it is quite meaningful and true... Take some time and read it through...

To Let Go
To let go doesn't mean to stop caring, it means i can't do it for someone else.
To let go is not to cut myself off, it's the realization that I don't control another.
To let go is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences.
To let go is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands.
To let go is not to try change or blame another, I can only change myself.
To let go is not to care for, but to care about.
To let go is not to fix, but to be supportive.
To let go is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.
To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to affect their own outcomes.
To let go is not to be protective, it is to permit another to face reality.
To let go is not to deny but to accept.
To let go is not to nag, scold, or argue, but to search out my own shortcomings and to correct them.
To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires but to take each day as it comes and to cherish the moment.
To let go is not to criticize and regulate anyone but to try to become what I dream I can be.
To let go is not to regret the past but to grow and live for the future.
To let go is to fear less and love more...
