Proud to be a Chinese??? Think again

"LAOGAI" - Rehabilitation?
Laogai - (láo găi), which means "reform through labour"(www.wikipedia.org)

While browsing through some blog, I stumbled with this interesting website, http://www.laogai.org/. It's a website dedicated to on Human Rights in China. Initially started as a website to bring justice to the prisoners in "LaoGai" (direct translation, Jail Change) in China whom were tortured instead of rehabilitated. And today, this site is still fighting for the rights of the Chinese who were forced to abortion and lethal injections into the foetus for the sake of "One-Child Policy".

Prisoners in these Laogais were tortured, humiliated, starved and executed. I think this is where the term of "Organ Harvesting" originated. Prisoners are executed and organs are extracted from them to be sold to different countries in the world for organ transplant. Browsing through the non-profit organisation's website, you can read a lot about the inhumane Chinese so-called officials and government who still exist even today that rule the country with barbaric and communistic approach.

In this site, you can read about a few prisoners of Laogai who managed to escape the ordeal and tortures after 20 years and more of imprisonment. The author of the site, Harry Wu describe his experience in Laogai through this webpage. Glad that he is now standing at the front line and help those in needs.

I have not finish reading the whole section of "Survivor Series" in this site yet. But after reading a few, I felt the anger, sadness and necessity to let people knows what they can't see doesn't mean it does not happen. Please feel free to click here to read through all the Survivor's story of such inhuman acts.
